This Weekend, the Lake Eden Arts Festival (LEAF) celebrates it' s 16th year with amazing performers, contra dancing, healing artists, workshops and more. Among the performers this year are Sweet Honey and the Rock, Toubab Krewe, Rising Appalachia and many more.

LEAF is an amazing confluence of talent, enthusiasm, and overall good vibes. The LEAF venue, Lake Eden in Black Mountain, NC has a long and illustrious history. Being the former site of the Black Mountain Music Festival, before that it was the campus of a ground breaking liberal arts school by the name of Black Mountain College which was founded in 1933 and whose most famous student, Buckminster Fuller developed the geodesic dome and built the first plydome on campus. This long standing spirit of creativity and artistic appreciation lives on in the many exciting gatherings hosted there. So, if you are enjoying LEAF this weekend, be sure to think of the decades of progressive happenings at that very special place in the mountains of Western North Carolina.
